Implantology
Dental implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root, usually made of titanium, surgically placed into the jawbone to replace a missing tooth.
Implants are titanium roots that replace natural tooth roots and enable fixed prosthetic solutions — from replacing a single tooth to larger constructions such as All-on-4/6. In our practice we use premium implants from the Italian manufacturer Sweden & Martina.
Benefits
Allows rapid rehabilitation without grinding down healthy teeth to replace a single missing tooth. A less painful procedure than grinding teeth. The option to receive a temporary crown on the day of the procedure.
How the procedure works
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is completely painless. All you feel during the procedure are unpleasant vibrations while the implant site is being prepared. Placing a single implant takes about 30 minutes.
Aftercare
After the procedure, good oral hygiene with mouthwash and an extra-soft toothbrush is very important, along with avoiding hard and hot food. After seven days the sutures are removed and a short check-up is carried out.
