Implantology
Subperiosteal implants
A subperiosteal implant is an implant solution that allows patients with no remaining bone — where extensive bone reconstruction would otherwise be needed — to receive fixed teeth immediately after the procedure.
Subperiosteal implants are an advanced solution for patients with pronounced bone loss for whom classic implants are not possible. Because the implant rests directly on the bone, it provides a stable base for fixed teeth without the need for additional bone-grafting surgery. It is custom-made for each patient as a mesh framework and fixed to the bone surface with mini screws. Treatment is faster, less invasive and allows immediate function and aesthetics.
Benefits
Gives patients with no bone and without extensive bone regeneration a rapid rehabilitation with fixed teeth that improve quality of life, nutrition and overall health.
How the procedure works
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation and is completely painless. It takes 90 to 120 minutes.
Aftercare
After the procedure, good oral hygiene with mouthwash and an extra-soft toothbrush is very important, along with avoiding hard and hot food. After seven days the sutures are removed and a short check-up is carried out.
Price and payment options
The price of the procedure including the final prosthetic restoration is €9,900.
